Miriam Raspe

Miriam Raspe, born in 1993, grew up in Düsseldorf, where she received instruction in piano, trombone, and euphonium. She studied trombone with Prof. Abbie Conant and wind orchestra conducting with Stefan Halder in Trossingen. From 2014 to 2018, she was a scholarship holder of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). In 2016, she won third prize as well as a special prize at the Felix Mendelssohn Competition. In the same year, she began her master’s studies with Prof. Werner Schrietter in Karlsruhe and was a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie from 2017 to 2022.

Her musical training was enriched through masterclasses with, among others, Henning Wiegräbe, Michel Becquet, Ingemar Roos, and Frederic Belli. She also completed an exchange semester at the Royal Conservatoire in Brussels. She regularly performs as a substitute musician with professional ensembles such as the Baden-Württemberg State Police Orchestra, Ensemble Modern, and the Württemberg Philharmonic Orchestra Reutlingen. In addition to her full-time position at the Herrenberg Music School near Stuttgart, she is also regularly active as a soloist in a variety of concert formats and ensembles.
