Model Description
The THEIN Bass Trumpet in Eb can be expanded with an additional tuning slide with integrated D valve. In Richard Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen” the Bass Trumpet in Eb is used as a symbol of heroism. In the last two parts of the ring, Wagner introduces additional low notes that can only be reached with the bass trumpet in C.
Their heroic sound and the perfect intonation combined with strength and overtones makes this instrument ideal to create the pure “Wagner” sound in the European way of playing.
