Model description
The THEIN Tristan Trumpet in C is a special long trumpet made of wood for the 3rd act of the Wagner opera “Tristan und Isolde“. Wagner designed this instrument as an extension of the English horn sound. This is achieved through the special shape of the wooden bell and a mouthpiece with a large bore.
This instrument was developed for the Hamburg State Opera and can be found in many opera houses around the world.
