Model description

Giuseppe Verdi asked for a set of trumpets in B and Ab for his opera “Aida”, which was premiered at the opening of the Suez Canal. With their bright and strong sound, they are supposed to celebrate the triumphant entry of the heroes during the AIDA triumphal march

Together with the trumpet group of the Hamburg State Opera, THEIN developed a set of Aida trumpets that meet today’s highest demands on intonation, response and sound characteristics. It also can be found in many opera houses around the world.

In order to be able to use these instruments in a more versatile way, an additional 3-valve trumpet machine was developed. This creates an instrument in C, with a long construction, which can be used excellently for stage music, e.g. as a “Lohengrin” trumpet. This is visually appealing and due to the long construction, the sound is extremely bright.
